Aloha Nui Kākou –from Jon Osorio:
I had a blast these past few days preparing for Talent Night. My son Kanealiʻi (94) whose class didn’t enter, wanted to know how the food was. Here is what I told him:
“The food last night was not very good. But we were great. Somehow, we did not win the overall. But I attribute that to inappropriate criteria by the judges. We did our own singing and choreography, accompanied ourselves with our own musicians. And we were cute as hell.” We did win best costume. We deserved that and more. I loved the whole experience. I am still not sure whether I can join you at class night. We will be there for the luʻau and hope that you are all up for at least one more kanikapila. I am sorry we couldn’t hang around last night.

Mahalo Jon for being present in this experience that’s etched on my mind forever.
It was an unforgettable class reunion made in 1951, each of us and our ‘ohana made it so. God bless you and your ‘ohana.

p.s. Jerry can’t get over how close we are.
